Heritage Park

This 4-acre park features two playgrounds, a Veterans Wall, fountains, splash pad, stage, open field, dog park, and pavilion with benches.

Park Rules

The following are prohibited in all City parks as per City Ordinance 201, and can be enforced by any City employee:

  • Bicycles, Skates, Skateboards, or Scooters
  • Motorized Vehicles (i.e. scooters, segways)
  • Pets
  • Glass Containers
  • Alcoholic Beverages
  • Grilling or Cooking
  • Fireworks or open flames
  • Camping
  • Amplified Music
  • Feeding Animals
  • No Smoking

No trespassing outside of park hours. All Sunny Isles Beach Police Officers are authorized representatives, and may advise any person to leave park premises. Failure to vacate the premises after being so instructed may result in an arrest for trespassing after warning pursuant to Florida Statutes 810.08 and 810.09.

Reminder: No animals are permitted in the parks with the exception of recognized service animals. Dogs are allowed at designated dog parks. Dogs must remain on a leash and you must pick up after your pet. Containers are available for you to be a responsible pet owner.

The leash-free dog area is located at the south side of the park.

*Dogs only allowed in designated area unless they are specifically trained as a service dog.

Nominate a Veteran

The Veteran’s Wall at Heritage Park displays the names of Sunny Isles Beach residents that have served our country in the military. Every year new names of Sunny Isles Beach residents who have served in the United States Military are added to the wall.

*Nomination applications are available online or at the Government Center at 18070 Collins Avenue. Please bring proof of honorable discharge from military service and proof of residency in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Your SIB Resident ID can be used as proof of residency or a utility bill with the veteran’s name.

Event Approval

*Any non-City organized events (festivals, entertainment, birthday parties etc.) must be approved ahead of time. Contact the Cultural & Community Services Department at 305.792.1706 for more information, or stop by Pelican Community Park at 18115 North Bay Road.
