Samson Oceanfront Park

This 2.1-acre park is located on oceanfront land. Named after Gilbert Samson, the city's first Mayor, Samson Oceanfront Park features a pavilion with picnic tables, performing stage, grassy open area, playground and beach access path. 

The park is publicly owned and operated as a passive, natural resource-based, public, outdoor recreational site that was acquired with grant funding from the “Florida Communities Trust Preservation 2000 Program,” and from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s, “Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program.” 

Park Rules

The following are prohibited in all City parks as per City Ordinance 201, and can be enforced by any City employee:

  • Bicycles, Skates, Skateboards, or Scooters
  • Motorized Vehicles (i.e. scooters, segways)
  • Pets
  • Glass Containers
  • Alcoholic Beverages
  • Grilling or Cooking
  • Fireworks or open flames
  • Camping
  • Amplified Music
  • Feeding Animals
  • No Smoking

No trespassing outside of park hours. All Sunny Isles Beach Police Officers are authorized representatives, and may advise any person to leave park premises. Failure to vacate the premises after being so instructed may result in an arrest for trespassing after warning pursuant to Florida Statutes 810.08 and 810.09.

Reminder: No animals are permitted in the parks with the exception of recognized service animals. Dogs are allowed at designated dog parks. Dogs must remain on a leash and you must pick up after your pet. Containers are available for you to be a responsible pet owner.
