Community Resource Unit, Sunny Isles Beach PD

The Sunny Isles Beach Police Community Resource Unit (CRU) is dedicated to addressing community concerns through outreach and cooperation. Effective community policing has a positive impact on reducing neighborhood crime, building trust, and enhancing the quality of life for residents.

Homeless Liaison

The CRU works directly with individuals experiencing homelessness, providing assistance with housing, referrals, and other services to improve their quality of life. CRU also addresses public concern related to homelessness within the City of Sunny Isles Beach.

Crime Prevention

The CRU builds partnerships with community members to promote the idea that everyone has a role in crime prevention. Officers provide safety presentations and support the department’s crime prevention programs.

Community Engagement

Officers patrol neighborhoods to address resident concerns and quality of life issues. By participating in neighborhood activities, events, and meetings, officers foster a sense of security and well-being within the community.
