The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) concentrates on the development of a long-range framework in which physical projects may be planned while, at the same time, implementing projects within the City’s financial capabilities. The comprehensive program is prepared for the ensuing five years and is based upon the requirements of the community for all types of public improvements.
The primary purpose of the CIP includes:
- The development of a long-range framework in which physical projects are planned, evaluated, and presented in an order sequence;
- The coordination of the capital related projects of City departments to ensure equitable distributions of projects with regard to the needs of the community;
- The timing of related projects; and the provision of information regarding planned capital projects to the residents of the City of Sunny Isles Beach.
The CIP is updated annually and published along with the City’s Budget.
